The European Association for the Study of Religions promotes the academic study of religions through the international collaboration of scholars in Europe whose research has a bearing on the subject.
The objective of the EASR is pursued by the usual means of scholarly activity such as the arrangement of conferences, symposia or colloquia, the encouragement of scholarly publications, the exchange of information through electronic or other means, and other activities.
EASR conference 2021 postponed to September!
Due to the current situation, the organizing committee of the EASR conference in Pisa, Italy, has thought it opportune to postpone the originally planned dates to 6-10 September 2021. A call for individual papers, sessions and posters will be launched at the end of August.

IAHR Conference 2020 cancelled!
Due to the current pandemic and with great regret the IAHR and the organisers of the IAHR conference 2020 have announced their decision to cancel the conference which was to have been held in Otago, New Zealand. In line with this decision, the EASR will hold no General Assembly, which was to take place during the IAHR conference in Otago, in 2020.
